Dr Rando’s rooms are open Monday to Friday (except Holidays) between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
To make an appointment, you are required to have a referral from your General Practitioner (which are valid for 12 months), a Specialist (which are valid for 3 months) or from an Emergency Doctor (which are valid for 3 months). If you do not have a valid referral, you will not be eligible for a rebate from Medicare for part of your consultation fee.
When making your appointment, the more information about your condition you can give our office staff, the more helpful this will be in ensuring the correct appointment slot is given. Please state at the time of making your appointment if your condition is in relation to a WorkCover or Insurance claim. Please note that for all WorkCover claims, it is a requirement that you are covered by a Medical Certificate at least for the day of your appointment.
We appreciate your time is valuable and endeavour to run on time, however there may be delays beyond our control and we wish to apologise in advance if we do keep you waiting. To assist us to run on time, please arrive 10 – 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete a patient details form.

Gold Coast Hand & Upper Limb Clinic is located on Level 2 of Building 3G, 27 Garden Street, opposite the Southport Library.
Entry to the Carpark is gained from Lawson Street and provides free public parking for up to 3 hours in any of the carparks that are accessible to the public on levels B1 and B2. Alternatively, there is metered parking along Lawson Street.
There are multiple lifts in the Carpark. The correct lift to gain access to Building 3G is the Lavender lift marked on the map below.
Southport Central security staff are on duty at the Carpark entry and can assist in directing you to the correct lifts.
If you find yourself lost in the carpark, we recommend you make your way to the Ground level and locate Building 3G from there, or please feel free to call our reception staff and we will assist you in making your way to our rooms.
What should I bring?
- Referral letter
- Medicare / DVA card
- Health Fund card
- WorkCover or Insurance details (if applicable)
- X-rays, CT, MRI, NCS, Ultrasound relating to your condition
- Any relevant previous operation records
- Any other information / documentation related to your condition from other health professionals
To Cancel an Appointment
If it is necessary to cancel your appointment, we ask you to phone the office on (07) 5526 4488, as far ahead as possible, to allow us to reallocate the time to another patient.
You will be advised of our consultation fee when you book your appointment. Full payment is required at the time of your visit. There is a rebate from Medicare for part of your consultation fee.
